SAVSTG is like a byte dump. Useful only if you have exactly the same configuration: number and type of disk drives, etc. Restores much faster than go save 21 and all of it's ensuing steps to restore. My belief is that it's only used by a few customers correctly. However these are the types of customers that buy 2,000 exactly identical boxes from IBM so when they say "sh!t" IBM squats and asks "what color"? Rob Berendt
