Hi James,

Here are the additional features I use with the Advanced Job Scheduler (GO JS aka chargeable LPP xxxJS1):
* allows me to create job dependencies. For example, jobs A, B and C have to finish successfully before job D can run.
Or jobs E, F and G are to be submitted once job H finishes.
* define processing calendars. I have a holiday schedule for jobs that shouldn't run on a holiday (that is, an abstain calendar).
You can define multiple calendars for extra processing, such as quarter end jobs (the opposite of an abstain calendar)
* alternate jobs. This is a job that runs if a job you define fails. I only use it for notification.

There are other features (such as documentation and pager support) that I don't use.

By the way, I'm not aware of any connection between the advanced job scheduler and the basic job scheduler. They both can submit jobs without interfering with one another.
