One good feature with JS is that the scheduling settings are contained in database tables.

This means that when working in a multi-server environment it is fairly easy to replicate the scheduling settings over all servers.

Also with JS you can schedule jobs that require restricted access (such as full system saves) using the console monitor function. Priceless!
