Fair enough Rob. I see what you are saying. It should have read Server Authentication lists. ADDSVRAUTE is used to create a list of server authentications to be used when connecting to a remote system in my mind.

I suspect you are correct that server authentication entries will be needed. But given that DRDA is a subset of DDM and DDM doesn't require a server authentication entry I wonder.

I would change your terminology. When you say "authorization lists" I think WRKAUTL. I am thinking server authority entries, like in ADDSVRAUTE.

Are you asking what if they do not use ADDSVRAUTE but want to do something like CONNECT TO remoteibmi USER myuserid USING mypassword I don't think that's going to work for this technique. I believe you'll have to use the server authority entries instead.
