I'm familiar with Mono, and I've played around with it on Linux. I looked forward to getting on IBMi, until I realized that our .NET team uses unmanaged code pervasively. That means Mono is right out.
They probably have over a dozen 3rd party libraries, and I can't name them. Sorry

Most likely they already have C# or VB code that you could just use by installing the Mono .Net code on IBMi.
What 3rd party library are they using ?
Maybe time to work with the Windows guys instead of re-inventing the wheel. One of the tenets of any of the open source languages running on IBMi.
