All,

Regarding the recent discussion of requiring CAD to sign on to a domain -

A user has started _not_ logging off at night so he doesn't have to wait for
his roaming profile to load in the morning. He closes all applications and
then locks the keyboard. Next morning he unlocks, starts apps, and away he
goes.

Yesterday he changed his password, first on the System i, then in Windows
(which would be the domain as the user profile no longer exists on his PC).
Today he used his new password to unlock successfully. Then, when he tried
to start his System i sessions (which are set to automatically pass his
Windows user id and password), it failed. Evidently it was sending his old
Windows password to the System i, at least that's all I can figure. I had
him log off/on, then it worked fine.

Does this make sense that Windows would supply the old password until he
logs off? Or do you think the System i Access software cached it
somewhere? IOW, is this standard Windows behavior in that _any_ app would
be provided the old password until log off/on, or is it an i Access issue?

Thanks.
