Hi Shalom;When I am doing that kind of validation I make a roundtrip to the server using AJAX
If you are not familiar with AJAX is you might read this article http://www.codeproject.com/Ajax/AjaxExplained.asp - which also have the source code needed for a small AJAX implementation.

Use AJAX. Create a net.data function to handle the query, and use javascript to invoke it with the xmlhttp method. I can do the verification via an SQL statement, but I'm having brain lock on how to embed a net.data function in javascript function. My goal is to verify the item and throw up an alert() before submitting the form to the next %html block, and to not have it behave differently than the javascript alert() edits. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
