That's actually quite a compliment, since even among those who don't like .NET, one thing nearly everyone agrees on is that MS tools make MS programmers very productive. You may not like the operating system or the licensing or even the company, but there's no argument that Visual Studio is one powerful IDE.

Of course, if you think IDEs are evil and so on, that WDSC is a pox on the planet, and that "real programmers only use assembly language", then certainly EGL is not for you. But if you're looking to get your job done, an IDE that makes that easier is a real boon, especially if it works with the best platform on the planet and integrates seamlessly with the best business language ever designed.
